Frank and Funny greeting cards
About a year ago I teamed up with Compendium Inc, a wonderful little publishing company in Seattle owned by Kobi Yamada. I originally met Kobi on the soccer field when we were kids. I remember him because you often remember people who kick your ass on a regular basis. We were reintroduced as adults when he married a close friend of mine from college.
I approached him with this idea for a line of greeting cards written by stand-up comedians. Long story short, it’s now in stores across the country and it’s called Frank & Funny – Cards by stand-up comics.
I don’t want to take all the credit by any means. There are sixty cards, four of them were written by me. I spent most of my time asking my favorite comedians from around the country to submit jokes that might make a good card. Everyone came through in heroic fashion and I collected thousands of jokes. Kobi and some of his staff helped me whittle them down to the final sixty and we printed them up.
They are now available nationwide. We even landed a spot on Evening Magazine.
